Adam Clay

Adam Clay is currently on the percussion staff of the cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps from Rosemont, IL and is the percussion director/assistant band director at Winston Churchill High School in San Antonio, TX. From 1999 through 2002, he was a performing member os the Cavaliers Drumline, winning three DCI World Championships and two Fred Sanford High/Percussion Trophies. In 2004 Adam was asked to join the staff of the Bluecoats Drum & Bugle Corps from Canton, OH, where he finished his sixth season on percussion staff in 2009.

From 2005-2008 Adam was the visual caption head for Gateway World Indoor (WGI) in St. Louis, MO. From Memphis TN, Adam was the founder and director of the Grizzline-the official drumline of the Memphis Grizzlies NBA Franchise. From 2004-2007 he was on marching percussion staff with the University of Memphis, and was marching percussion caption head for the 2006 and 2007 seasons, including the designer/caption head for the 2006 Memphis PASIC Indoor Percussion Group.

Adam is published by Marching Show Concepts, Center X Productions, Key Poulan, Imagine Music, and Standing O' Publications. He has studied with and alongside some of the most highly regarded percussionists in the country including Mike McIntosh, Bret Kuhn, John Brennan, Eric Johnson, Tom Burritt, Blake Tyson, Ray Ulibarri, Frank Shaffer, Tom Rarrick, Mike Jackson, Tim Fairbanks, Tim Jackson, Jim Bailey, Joe Fant, and Jim Cassella. Adam has been involved with numerous schools and organizations as a freelance percussion instructor/clinician and continues to be a highly sought after arranger, composer and adjudicator.
