Edgar Sanchez is an active Instructor/Arranger in the Southern California Region. Although Primarily known as a marching percussion specialist, he can be seen playing anything from timpani to marimba, Latin percussion and drum set. Currently he is the percussion coordinator at Azusa H.S, California H.S, Citrus Valley H.S, Norte Vista H.S, Redlands East Valley H.S, Rubidoux H.S, and Schurr H.S. Under his Direction these ensembles have won numerous High percussion awards, and Superior rated festival performances. He has served as the program coordinator and arranger for Élan Percussion since it’s inception in 2013.

Past work includes: La Puente High School 1996–1998, Pacific crest Drum and Bugle corps 2002 and, La Mirada High School 2003–2007.

Edgar has had the privilege of studying classical percussion with Robin Sharp, Tad Carpenter, and John Magnussen, Latin percussion with Ray Yslas, drumset with Michael Packer, and piano and composition with James Alcantara
