Elanders Frazier

Elanders Frazier, a resident of Pace, Fl., has been appointed the percussion caption head of Southwind Drum & Bugle Corps for 2016. Elanders is in his 14th year of percussion instruction and musical arrangement for middle and high schools in the Gulf Coast Area. 
His collegiate performance credits include: A co-writer, instructor and performer with the inaugural Pensacola Junior College (now Pensacola State College) Percussion Ensemble in 2003. He was a member of the Pensacola Junior College Wind Ensemble and Jazz Ensembles from 2002-2005. He was a member of the University of West Florida Symphonic Band from 2006-2009, serving as section leader for two semesters. He was a Percussion Instructor and Visual Designer for Solace Independent from Pensacola, FL and the Co-Battery Arranger/Visual Designer for Clarcona Independent from Crestview, FL. He most recently served 9 years as Director of Percussion Activities at Pace High School in Pace, FL and Percussion Representative for the Gulfcoast Color Guard & Percussion Circuit Board of Directors 2013-2015. His marching performance credits include Eminence Indoor Percussion Ensemble 2003 (receiving Rookie of the Year), Spirit Drum & Bugle Corps 2004 and 2005 (receiving Rookie of the Year ’04 and serving as a Percussion 
Captain in ‘05). In 2004, he was also a member of the first place Spirit Drum and Bugle Corps I and E Cymbal Line. He finished his marching career with Music City Mystique from Nashville, TN in 2006 and 2007. 
Elanders is a member of the Percussive Arts Society, a percussion educator with Innovative Percussion and has been a clinician at the annual Percussive Arts Society Northwest Florida Day of Percussion since 2002.
