Eric Sokolowski is currently the Director of Bands at the Model Laboratory School at Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, KY where he teaches middle and high school band and class guitar. He has previously held band-teaching positions in the Harlan County and Madison County School systems also in Kentucky. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from the University of the Cumberlands and a Masters in Percussion Performance from Eastern Kentucky University. He has served on the instructional and design staffs for several award winning marching band programs throughout Kentucky. 
Mr. Sokolowski is an alumnus of the Kentucky Governor's School for the Arts and served on the instrumental music staff for four years. He has been a member of the faculty of numerous Yamaha Sounds of Summer clinic/camps and has been a guest soloist with numerous high school groups. He has served as an adjudicator for the KMEA All-State Bands auditions as well as KMEA district level Solo & Ensemble festivals. 
Mr. Sokolowski was the principal percussionist for the Lexington Brass Band, and continues to perform regularly in local concert ensembles. He has also performed at the KMEA State Conference and the Percussive Arts Society International Conference. 
Professionally, Mr. Sokolowski is a member of the Kentucky Music Educators Association and the National Association for Music Education.
