Trevor Ervin

Trevor Ervin was born and raised in Glasgow, KY. He earned his Bachelor of Music Degree in Music Education from Campbellsville University in Kentucky where he participated in the University Percussion Ensemble, Chamber Percussion Ensemble, Steel Band, Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, and Orchestra.

His major instrument is percussion as displayed by his performance in Drum Corps International (DCI) and Winter Guard International (WGI). He has performed with World Class Finalist DCI organizations (2011-2012) including Spirit of Atlanta and The Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps. Also, his WGI experiences (2008-2013) include performances with Speed Percussion and World Class Finalists, Tates Creek Indoor Ensemble, and Gateway Indoor.

Mr. Ervin began his teaching career directly out of high school working with various Kentucky bands including the Class A State Champion Marion County High School Band , the two-time Class AA State Champion Washington County High School Band, the Class AAA state-finalist Taylor County High School band, and the Class AAAA state-finalist Anderson County High School Band. 

Since his graduation from Campbellsville University, he has served as the Director of Percussion at Central Hardin High School, the Battery Coordinator for the Adair County High School band (20-time AAA State Champion and 2007 - 2009 BOA Grand National Class A Champion), and the Assistant Director of Bands at East Hardin Middle School. 

Mr. Ervin currently serves as the Director of Bands at Bullitt East High School in Mt. Washington, KY and is an active adjudicator for the Kentucky Music Educators Association. He is also a part of the instructional staff at Gateway Indoor as a snare technician, and serves as the battery coordinator/snare technician for the Cincinnati Tradition Drum & Bugle Corps.
