Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra
Keiichi Kitano is a graduate from Tokyo College of Music. Keiichi also studied and specialized in percussion at Tokyo University of the Arts. A teacher Makoto Aruga, an ex-professor of Tokyo University of the Arts and ex-member of NHK Symphony Orchestra, is whom Keiichi has also studied under.
Keiichi learned the art of drum set with Takeshi Inomata and Latin percussion with Akiyoshi Adachi. His musical expertise covers the traditional Japanese Edo-Sukeroku drums, Classic, Latin, Jazz and pop genre. Another field of study he pursued was conducting in conjunction with percussion with Frederic Fennel.
Currently Keiichi is a percussionist of the Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra, a member of Japan Concert Band Instructors Association, acting as leader of the percussion group of BUNDMUS traveling all over Japan and from 2008 he organized a new edge performance group Kenny's-Club. He teaches and judges school bands as well.
