Maureen “Mo” Longo is a percussion educator and performer in Dayton, OH. She is an adjunct professor at the University of Dayton, the Percussion Director at Beavercreek High School, the Front Ensemble Director at Miamisburg High School, and is on staff with the Phantom Regiment Drum & Bugle Corps. Additionally, Mo performs as a freelance percussionist and marimba soloist in both the Dayton and Chicago areas.
 
Mo holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Therapy from the University of Dayton where she studied with James Leslie, and a Master’s Degree in Music Performance from Wright State University where she studied with Jerry Noble and David Booth. Additional studies include lessons with Janis Potter, Michael Udow, William Moersch, and Bob Van Sice, as well as masterclass performances with marimba soloists Janis Potter, Nancy Zeltsman, Mark Ford, and Kevin Bobo.

While attending UD, Mo performed as the winner of the Concerto Aria Competition and was a three-time Honors Recital finalist. The following year at WSU, Mo was selected to perform in the Honors Recital and earned the 1st place scholarship for her solo marimba performance.
 
Mo has toured the United States and Europe in DCI and WGI as a member of the Glassmen Drum & Bugle Corps and Matrix Indoor Marching Percussion Ensemble. She has performed at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention and the Ohio Music Educator’s Conference.
 
In addition to Mo’s extensive experience instructing multiple scholastic and independent ensembles throughout Ohio and Illinois, she is a Board Certified Music Therapist. Mo proudly endorses Innovative Percussion products.
