Randall Cornelison, composer/percussionist/educator, earned his B.A. in Music Education from the California State University of Fresno with an emphasis in percussion performance under the instruction of Dr. Matthew Darling. In 2005, he finished his M.M. in Composition at Central Michigan Univeristy with a 4.0 GPA under the tutelage of Dr. Jose-Luis Maurtua and the world renowned composer Dr. David Gillingham.

In 2004, Randall was selected as a member of the Czech-American Summer Music Institute (CASMI) at the Prague Academy of Music in Prague, Czech Republic under the instruction of the well recognized Czech composer, Ladislav Kubik. During Randall's time in Prague, his music was performed at the concert hall of the Dvorak Museum.

Not only has Randall's music been performed abroad, but has also has numberous premieres throughout the United States. The Soprano Saxophone Duet, Dance The Event Horizon, was premiered at the 2004 North American Saxophone Alliance Conference in Greensboro, North Carolina. Four concert band pieces and three percussion ensemble works have been premiered in Michigan including the Tenor Saxophone Concerto for Orchestra, Puer Aeternus, performed by John Nichol.

Beginning in 2007 Randall has been on staff at Clovis High School as the Assistant Director of Bands and the Director of Percussion Studies. Under his direction the Clovis High School percussion ensemble has premiered three pieces as well has earned Superior ratings at the Central California Day of Percussion.

Randall is currently A.B.D. working on his dissertation for his D.M.A. in Composition with Professor Daniel Asia and Music Theory with Dr. Donald Traut at the University of Arizona's School of Music.
