Ben CollinsAssistant Director of Bands Lemont High School & Senators Drum & Bugle Corps
Ben Collins is the Assistant Director of Bands at Lemont High School in Lemont, Illinois. He oversees the percussion program, directs a symphonic band and jazz band, and teaches music theory and technology. Ben also works with the percussion section at Lincoln-Way East High School in New Lenox, Illinois. Ben graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a degree in music education and also studied education and theology at the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom. While at Illinois, he studied conducting with Joe Manfredo and Peter Griffin. Ben is the percussion arranger and on the percussion staff for the Senators Drum and Bugle Corps from Eashleigh, England. He was in the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps from 2001 to 2004 and was on their 2005 percussion staff. His private teachers include Bret Kuhn, William Moersch, and Ricardo Flores.
