Art is currently the caption head for Cherry Ave MS, Tulare Union HS, and Lemoore HS drum lines. Tulare Union HS performs with the Western Band Association, Winter Guard International, and the San Joaquin Valley Colorguard and Percussion Review. He also travels and instructs as one of the cymbal technicians for the Mandarins Drum and Bugle Corps. He was a long-time instructor with the Tulare Western High School percussion ensemble which has performed competitively in the Western Band Association, Winter Guard International, Southern California Percussion Alliance, Pep & Pageantry Arts Association of Central California, and San Joaquin Valley Colorguard & Percussion Review circuits. He also was the caption head for the Mission Oak High School percussion ensemble, a new program that he built from the ground up, and the Sundale Union Elementary School percussion ensemble, a program with a blend of elementary and middle school students who learned the fundamentals of percussive arts.

Art's performance career included marching in the percussion section of the West Coast Sound Drum & Bugle Corps, which has now evolved to the program known as Pulse, based in Southern California. He also has a talent for cymbal line instruction, with his trademark being sections that are visually innovative and musically precise. He also has talent in equipment design and has established at hand crafting percussion racks and extensions for his own groups and/or for others.

In addition to teaching marching percussion, Art stays busy in music by playing drum set in rock bands and as a sound equipment technician. Art's enthusiasm for music and background make him a quality educator for percussion students of all ages.

He proudly endorses Innovative Percussion and Zildjian.
