David Vittetoe

David is the percussion coordinator for District 90 Junior High school bands and also serves as a battery technician for O’Fallon Township High School Marching Panthers in O’Fallon, Illinois. In addition to classroom teaching, he maintains an active private teaching studio of junior high and high school students. David is an active performer in the Metro St. Louis area with his musical interests ranging from wind symphonies, Scottish pipe bands, Celtic Groups, Latino orchestras, Christian, Jazz, Rock and Pop bands.

David retired as a percussionist with the United States Air Force Bands having in various assignments throughout the United States, including two deployments in Support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He also shared the stage with Chuck Mangione, Winona Judd, Amy Grant, Take-6, Diamond Rio and Leanne Womack.

Mr. Vittetoe holds a Bachelor Degree in Multi-Disciplinary Studies from Liberty University, Virginia. He studied percussion at the University of Tennessee from F. Michael Combs, Keith Brown, J. Vincent Harris and Dr. Brett Paschal. He has also furthered his study in drum set from Rob Leytham, Dom Famularo, and Jim Riley.

David is a member of the Percussive Arts Society and Illinois Music Educators Association.
