Javier Aponte Rodríguez, born November 29, 1974 in Santurce, Puerto Rico.  Since childhood, Javier wanted to be a musician and of course a drummer.  At the age of 8, he was his church drummer and by the age of 12 receives his first drumset from his Grampa as a birthday gift.  With just 15 years of age, Javier was the drummer for various artists and bands. He’s been recently working in a variety of music styles with artists such as: Latin Grammy artist Samuel Hernández (Gospel, pop music), Latin Grammy artist Vico C (Hip-Hop), Latin Grammy artist Luis Rojas (Pop Rock), Ignacio Peña (Alternative), Latin Grammy artist Olga Tañón (Merengue), Latin Grammy artist Don Omar (Reggaeton), Latin Grammy artist Kany García (Pop) and Latin Grammy artist Mónica Rodríguez (Gospel, pop music).

Javier is a well known recording session drummer all around the country and Latin America, working sessions at his home studio called DrumLab for many producers locally and in Latin America, as well as in recording studios across Puerto Rico. Javier is also an educator, having his YouTube Channel: thejavi777 publishing drums tutorials, live and recording performances. He also teaches private lessons in his recording studio.
