Patrick Chapman has served on staff for numerous independent indoor percussion ensembles in South Carolina and North Carolina, one being the PIO World Champion, Palmetto Percussion where he was a charter member in 2007.  In 2009, he was a member of seven-time DCI World Champions The Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps and is currently on the percussion staff for The Troopers Drum & Bugle Corps.

 

Chapman received a Bachelor of Music degree in Percussion Performance from the University of South Carolina, studying with Dr. Scott Herring and Jim Hall, and is currently an active performer and educator throughout South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia.  While at USC, Pat performed with the USC Percussion Ensemble, the USC Wind Ensemble, USC Marching Band, USC Opera and the USC Symphony Orchestra.

Pat was one of six international percussionists selected to be a part of the YouTube Symphony Orchestra, which consisted of 90 professional musicians from around the world.  Under the baton of Michael Tilson Thomas, the YTSO performed its debut concert at Carnegie Hall in April 2009.
