David Walker native of Nashville, TN, is an educator, composer, performer, blogger, consultant, dance accompanist, former Spanish teacher, and trained Byzantine chanter. This eclectic musical lifestyle has led him to numerous performances including coordinating and/or performing in Carnegie Hall, Merkin Hall, Bass Hall, the Super Bowl, and the Rose Bowl to name a few. He currently serves as an Assistant Band director at Southlake Carroll high school in Southlake, TX.

David received his high school education at Riverdale High School in Murfreesboro, TN, and has since attained his undergraduate in music education and his master’s degree in performance from Middle Tennessee State University and Texas Christian University respectively.

While at TCU, he assisted with the TCU drumline and performed in the PASIC 2011 College Showcase Winner percussion ensemble. He also performed and received a tie for 6th place in the marimba individuals competition, and was also a winner of the TCU concerto competition with his original composition O Angelos.

Other compositional points of interest include premiering the first piece ever written for wind ensemble and Byzantine chant with the MTSU Wind Ensemble, a composition for the Interlochen Academy summer institute of Dance with choreography by director of dance Cameron Baseden, formerly artistic director or the Joffrey Ballet, and Kim Neal Nofsinger, director of Shelter Reparatory Theater in Nashville, TN. 

Along with his successful social media guru wife, Hilary Walker of hilaryinspired.com, he enjoys the challenges of education, sports, and playing with IP.
