Adam Schweitzer
Flower Mound High School
Adam Schweitzer is currently the Assistant
Percussion Director for Flower Mound High School and its cluster of middle
schools in Flower Mound, TX. He works with the schools’ percussion
sections from grades 6-12, teaches private lessons, and assists Percussion
Director, Darrin Hicks, with coordinating the FloMo Percussion Studio’s
wide-varying performance and development activities. He has also worked with
many award-winning marching percussion sections in Lake Highlands, TX;
Omaha, NE; Lincoln, NE; and Sioux Falls, SD.
Adam earned his B.A. in Percussion
Performance, B.S. in Business Administration, and M.M. in
Percussion Performance, all from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where
he studied with Dave Hall, Anthony Falcone, and Al Rometo. Notable performances
include the PAS Nebraska Day of Percussion; CBDNA regional conference in
Ames, IA; McCormick Marimba Festival in Tampa, FL; and the Midwest Clinic in
Chicago.
