Andy Foerschler is a percussionist and educator in San Antonio, TX where he teaches for the Ronald Reagan HS band and is the front ensemble coordinator for the Crossmen Drum & Bugle Corps. He previously served on the music faculty at Baker University in Kansas, and was percussion director and arranger for several high schools in the Kansas City area where he began his teaching career in 2010.
Andy received his BM with Honors in Percussion from the IU Jacobs School of Music, and his MM in Percussion from the UMKC Conservatory of Music & Dance. He was a member of the Carolina Crown Drum & Bugle Corps and the National Orchestral Institute, and has performed professionally with the Boise Philharmonic, the Des Moines Metro Opera, and the Kansas City Symphony. Additionally, Andy wrote and performed for the KC Chiefs Rumble Drumline, and has a variety of recording credits to his name on drumset and percussion.
Andy maintains an active freelance career as a concert percussionist, drumset artist, private instructor, adjudicator, clinician, sound designer, and composer/arranger. Outside of music, Andy and his wife Savannah love cooking (and eating), traveling, exploring Texas Hill Country, and their very good dog Zeus.
