Brandan Grinwis is a faculty member at Grand Rapids Community College, Grace Bible College and Rockford High School, teaching applied percussion, ensemble and courses in music theory and listening.  His college percussion ensemble regularly gives several concerts each year and the Rockford Marching band has received 3rd place in the MCBA, Flight I state finals the for the past three years and was a semi-finalist at the 2011 Bands of America Grand Nationals, placing 22nd in the nation.  He has performed professionally for over twenty years in the West Michigan and Chicago areas, and is an endorsing educator of Innovative Percussion’s sticks and mallets.   He had performed with Grammy nominees Grand Rapids Symphony and trumpeter Bobby Shew and Dove Award recipient Don Moen. He frequently performs as a recital soloist and with faculty jazz and chamber ensembles at GRCC.  He is an active freelance percussionist and w/ area jazz, blues and rock bands, worship teams and area orchestras.
