Bryan Sheetz is a graduate of Longwood College where he earned a Bachelor of Music Degree with a concentration in Instrumental Music Education. Mr. Sheetz has been an active arranger, instructor, adjudicator and clinician in the Mid-Atlantic area since 1997. He is the Percussion Director at both Cosby and Manchester High Schools in Chesterfield, Virginia. The L.C. Bird High School indoor drum line achieved a silver medal in the 2006 Atlantic Indoor Association Championships where he began the Hands and Pans Steel Drum Ensemble, the only three school level Steel Drum Ensemble in Central Virginia. The ensemble has received both the Chesterfield Education foundation's MCD Grant for Initiative and Innovation in Educational Practices and the Muzak Heart and Soul Foundation's Grant for "Redefining Music Education." Mr. Sheetz is an accomplished private percussion instructor and an active member of MENC, VMEA, and VBDOA. Mr. Sheetz personally endorses Innovative Percussion sticks and mallets and lives in Chester, Virginia with his wife Nancy and son Harrison.
