Coran Henley is a musician that happens to be a drummer, producer, and audio engineer originally from Dayton, Ohio. Known for his dynamic playing, finesse, and versatility, Coran has been steadily refining the craft and working for years in this competitive field of talented musicians.
He began his formal training at Stivers School for the Arts in Dayton, Ohio before earning a full-tuition scholarship to the prestigious Berklee College of Music. While at Berklee College of Music and beyond, Coran built a remarkable performance résumé, sharing stages and studios with artists such as Nikki Yanofsky, Mickey Factz, Cousin Stizz, Bryce Vine, Elan Trotman, Nadia Washington, Darren Barrett, Amber Mark, and Troy Cartwright.
In 2020, Coran expanded his creative reach into acting, making his on-screen debut in Don’t Look Up, performing in a concert scene alongside Ariana Grande and Kid Cudi. He went on to appear in the 2022 biopic I Wanna Dance with Somebody, portraying the drummer in the Rickey Minor Band in several scenes. The film features Naomi Ackie, Tamara Tunie, and Stanley Tucci.
When he’s not on set or on tour, Coran is deeply rooted in the studio world—tracking drums for artists across genres and producing from his home base in Boston. Currently, he tours internationally with Grammy nominated and Latin Grammy winning Sony artist Pedro Capó.
