Dan is a percussionist who makes his home in Northridge, CA. He earned his Master’s Degree in Performance from California State University Northridge with his final project titled “The Substance of Takemitsu’s Rain Tree & a Percussion Recital”. He has studied under Dr. John Roscigno, Aaron Smith, and John Magnussen, and studied Latin percussion under Jerry Steinholtz.

Dan has performed throughout Southern California with numerous ensembles including local orchestras and the percussion ensemble Sons of Thunder, a group of Christian percussionists and performers dedicated to art and inspiration. He has also been composing works for percussion in recent years.

Dan is the director of Dynamic Percussion, an independent marching percussion ensemble located in the Los Angeles and Ventura County area. He started teaching students in 1995 and has taught numerous award winning ensembles at schools like Royal High School, Simi Valley High School, El Camino Real High School, and Ventura High School.

Dan is also an adjudicator for the American Drum Line Association.
