Daniel started playing percussion in 1996. Throughout middle and high school, he shadowed Nashville musicians in his church orchestra and fell in love with all types of percussion instruments. He decided to further his education and earned a degree in Music Education from Tennessee Technological University. While at Tech, he performed in all of the top ensembles in the music program. 

Daniel studied privately with Mike Mann from 2000-2004 and Eric Willie from 2006-2011. He also performed with many singer/songwriters, country artists and worship leaders outside of Tech's music program. He participated in two years of DCI; Memphis Sound Drum and Bugle Corps on marimba in 2006 and Southwind Drum and Bugle Corps in 2007 at center marimba.

After graduation, Daniel moved to Austin, Texas to further his career. He plays regularly with the Logan Walter Band at the Austin Stone Community Church. He teaches front ensemble and private lessons at Stony Point High School in Round Rock, Texas. He also teaches group training and private lessons at the Austin Stone Music School.
