David Ribeiro enrolled at 15 years old in Conservatório Regional do Baixo Alentejo where he had the opurtunity to work with theacher such as Vasco Ramalho and Marco Fernandes. During his accademic course he worked with Jefrey Davis, Rui Sul Gomes, Ney Rosauro, Nancy Zeltsman, Eduardo Lopes, Steve Gadd, Alexandre Frazão and Joseph Pereira (Main Timpanist of the Los Angeles Philharmonic).
He has collaborated with Orquestra INATEL (Óbidos 2004), Orquestra Sinfónica da Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa, Orquestra de Sopros da Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa, Teatro Nacional S. Carlos e Orquestra Sinfónica Portuguesa.
Currently he is the artistic director of Per’Curtir – Intenational Percussion Festival, head of percussion of the Orkestra PhilarmóniCal, reinforecemente in the Orquestra Sinfónica Portuguesa, and reinforcemente of the Orquestra do teatro Nacional S. Carlos, member and founder of percussion group - Tympana, and he is the artistic direction of all the percussion groups of Conservatório d’Artes de Loures.
