Eric Willie currently serves as Assistant Professor of Percussion at Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville, TN where he teaches applied percussion, directs the Classical and Pop Percussion Ensembles, arranges for the TTU Golden Eagle Drum Line and serves as Director of the Southeast Chamber Music Institute. In addition, Eric serves as Percussion Caption Head for the Southwind Drum and Bugle Corps in Lexington, KY.

He has served on faculty for the Americanos, Carolina Crown and the Madison Scouts drum and bugle corps. His arrangements have been performed by the University of North Texas, University of Kentucky, Murray State University and University of Tennessee – Martin Drum Lines. In addition, he has instructed for Music City Mystique, served as Arranger for the University of Kentucky Indoor Drum Line (2000 WGI College Class Gold Medalists) and served on Faculty for the Bands of America World Percussion Symposium.

His educational articles have appeared in The Instrumentalist and Percussion Notes, and he has contributed educational resources to Innovative Percussion, Inc., Sabian Cymbals and Black Swamp Percussion.

Eric received his BS in Music Education from Austin Peay State University, his Master of Music from the University of Kentucky and his Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of North Texas (In Progress).
