Frank Connelly is a performer, teacher, and composer with a
diverse background in the marching arts, percussion ensemble, orchestra, wind
ensemble, and solo playing.
During the school year Frank focuses on both primary and
secondary pedagogy. From 2013-2015, Frank was the Percussion Specialist at
Burleson-Centennial High School where the percussion studio earned numerous accolades
including winning the Scholastic A North Texas Colorguard Association Indoor
Drumline Championship in 2015. He currently teaches in the Godley Independent
School Disctrict as the Assistant Director of Bands and Percussion Director of
Godley Intermediate School, Godley Middle School, and Godley High School.
In the marching arts, Frank is accomplished as both a performer
and educator. He performed as a bass drummer with the Crossmen Drum and Bugle
Corps during 2009 and the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps in 2010 and 2011,
serving as section leader in 2011. In 2012 Frank was the bass drum technician
for Revolution Drum and Bugle Corps, and in 2014 he taught bass drum at the
Academy Drum and Bugle Corps. Frank served as a bass drum clinician for the
Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps in 2015, and 2016 will be his second year
teaching bass drums at the Academy Drum and Bugle Corps.
Mr. Connelly is a Bachelors of Music graduate at Texas State
University with an emphasis in Percussion.
