Howard Desselle IV is the Director of Percussion at Lafayette High School where he began teaching in 2010.  The Lafayette High School Band is a consistent Bands of America Grand National Finalist.  He received both his Bachelor of Music Education (2008) and Master of Music (2010) from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana.

Mr. Desselle has taught and arranged music for drumlines across the state of Louisiana and Texas.  He has performed with the Natchitoches/Northwestern Symphony, Rapides Symphony Orchestra, Acadian Symphony Orchestra, and the Acadiana Wind Symphony.  His professional affiliations include:  Percussive Arts Society, Texas Music Educators Association, MENC and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.  He was a 2010 nominee for the Lafayette Education Foundation Teacher of the Year.
