Ashton Namynanik is an active educator. He is the Adjunct Instructor of Percussion at Tennessee Tech University where he teaches applied lessons and percussion ensemble. He also serves as the Director and Arranger of Marching Percussion for the Governor’s Own Marching Band at Austin Peay State University. Ashton is the front ensemble caption head for Creekside Independent, a WGI competitor. He is also the front ensemble instructor for Station Camp High School who competes locally and in BOA.

As a performer, Ashton has appeared with many ensembles and festivals to include the Nashville Philharmonic Orchestra, Bryan Symphony Orchestra, Nief Norf and the Big Ears Music Festival, PAS Days of Percussion, and PAS International Conventions.

Ashton holds a Master of Music in Percussion Performance from Belmont University. He was the first Graduate Assistant in the percussion program’s history. He also has a Bachelor of Music in Education from Tennessee Tech University.

Ashton and his wife, Ashley, currently reside in Springfield, TN with their daughter, Madeleine.
