Blake Lankford is currently serving as the front ensemble arranger and sound designer for Sparkman High School, who has made appearances in scholastic world class finals every year since being promoted to the PSW classification. Sparkman most recently finished 5th place in PSW finals competition.

He is also a full time designer and arranger for Southcoast Music & Design, LLC. His clients include several high school band programs in multiple states across the country such as BOA Grand Nationals Semifinalist Bartlett High School from Bartlett, TN. Blake’s clients range greatly in size and needs - from small school wind arrangements to major university percussion arrangements and sound design.

Blake has had a long and eventful career in percussion education, beginning with serving on instructional staff with Forte Drum and Bugle Corps from Dallas, TX and Music City Drum Corps in Nashville, TN as well as holding the position of Front Ensemble Coordinator at Music City in the 2014 and 2015 Seasons. In the years since, Blake has focussed his energy and efforts into helping to build a successful design company in the marching arts industry, and has served on both the educational and design staff for several ensembles that compete in both BOA and WGI national competition.

Blake studied Music Performance at The University of North Alabama, where he was principal percussionist in the university Wind Ensemble for multiple consecutive years and held leadership positions in the university marching band in both the drumline and front ensemble.
