Ian VanDerLinden has been involved of the marching arts since he was thirteen years old. He marched a number of years in the DCA circuit with the Rochester Crusaders, The Empire Statesmen, and The Skyliners where he marched and taught the snare line.

Ian has taught for a number of years in New York state with the Webster, Greece, and Victor marching bands. He is currently teaching the Victor Marching Band and Victor indoor percussion ensemble which won the scholastic A bronze medal at the 2017 WGI world Championships. Ian is also the percussion caption head for the Skyliners Drum and Bugle Corps after working as their snare tech for the 2016 and 2017 seasons. Ian has always been a fan and support of Innovative Percussion and is excited and honored to promote their quality percussion products.
