IMPACT Percussion was founded in the late fall of 2014 as an after-school activity at the local Boys & Girls Club Music & Arts Center in Kennewick, WA. Since then, the group has grown into a competitive, independent WGI percussion ensemble attracting members from across the Pacific Northwest. The group currently competes in the WGI and NWAPA circuits.

In addition to several first-place finishes at local and regional shows, IMPACT Percussion has also been recognized by the Boys & Girls Clubs of America as a National Program of Excellence. Staff members run the program and teach members with the Boys & Girls Club's mission in mind: To empower all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
