Jaren Angud is a versatile and in-demand drummer and percussionist from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, whose professional career spans a wide spectrum of musical settings—including national Broadway tours, studio sessions, corporate events, weddings, and educational clinics.
Over the years, Jaren has performed across the globe, notably on the national tour of Flashdance The Musical and the 25th Anniversary international tour of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. Most recently, he joined the first national Broadway tour of Back to the Future: The Musical, touring throughout the United States and Canada since June 2024.
When not on the road, Jaren is a first-call drummer for touring productions throughout the Pennsylvania and Tri-State area. His credits include Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, the Celtic Thunder Symphony Holiday Tour, and performances with Girl Named Tom, winners of Season 21 of The Voice.
Jaren has also made his Broadway debut as a sub drummer for Back to the Future: The Musical at New York City’s Winter Garden Theatre. He was featured on the podcast Broadway Drumming 101, hosted by Clayton Craddock, where he shared insights into the world of theatrical drumming.
Since 2019, Jaren has served as the resident drummer and percussionist for the acclaimed Fulton Theatre in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. His extensive work there includes productions such as Kinky Boots, Jersey Boys, Mamma Mia!, The Wiz, Evita, and Fun Home.
Jaren is proud to be an Innovative Percussion Artist, and he performs exclusively with drumsticks and mallets crafted by Innovative Percussion, known for their superior quality and craftsmanship.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education with a focus in Classical and Jazz Performance from Rowan University, and a Master of Music in Performance from Penn State University, where he was awarded a Graduate Teaching Assistantship. During his time at Penn State, he conducted the Percussion Ensemble, taught private lessons, and led the Percussion Methods course.
