Jeremy Gurganious is a percussion educator, arranger and adjudicator hailing from the Raleigh, North Carolina area. Jeremy is currently a front ensemble instructor for the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps from Dubuque, IA and the front ensemble caption head at Panther Creek High School in Cary, NC. In addition, he has been on staff for the DCA finalist Carolina Gold Drum and Bugle Corps. While at Panther Creek the percussion program has won numerous high percussion awards. Jeremy has helped guide the Panther Creek Indoor Percussion program to five consecutive medals in multiple classes within the Atlantic Indoor Association, including three gold medals in a row. The program also finished in second place at the WGI Spartanburg regional in 2016. Throughout his career Jeremy has taught and arranged for numerous high schools within North Carolina and surrounding states helping each to reach greater heights.
As a performer Jeremy was a member of the Holy Name Cadets Front Ensemble in 2009 for their 75th Anniversary. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2010 with degrees in Music and Economics. While at UNC Jeremy was a member of the Marching Tar Heels Drum Line as well as the Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Symphony Orchestra, and Percussion Ensemble.
Over his career Jeremy has had the distinguished pleasure of studying with and learning from some of percussion’s greatest educators including Lynn Glassock, Iain Moyer, Jason Ihnat, Colin McNutt, Matt Savage and Cameron Britt.
Jeremy currently resides in Durham, North Carolina and is a proud endorser of Innovative Percussion and Evans Drumheads.
