Drummer jonathon Peretz has been playing professionally for more than 20 years and is based out of the New York City area.  Originally from Ann Arbor/Detroit area, he studied music at Oakland University in Michigan, studying with late Detroit drumming greats Jimmy Allen and Gene Stewarts, as well as Gary Chaffe, and latin percussion master Johnny Almendra.  He has honed his craft working closely with an impressive array of musical masters, including the late trumpet gaints Maynard Ferguson, Freddie Hubbard, vocalist Jean Carne, Bob James, Tim Ries, David Mann, guitarist Jimi Tunnell, singer Ben E. King and The Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre to name a few.  

In 1990 he was a member of the band for the HBO comedy special "Robert Wuhl's World Tour," and from '92 to '93 he toured exclusively with Latin pop star Emmanuel (Sony Latin artist).  From 1993 to 1995 he was a member of the legendary Blood, Sweat & Tears with David Clayton-Thomas, and then moved on to tour all over the world for two years ('95-'97) with the international pop sensation Ricky Martin.  Jonathon is now working largely out of the New York City area where he regularly does freelance gigs, clinics and recording sessions in a various musical settings, as well as working with his own band JPQ.
