Josh is currently tenor technician at Music City Mystique, where he has been
an instructor since 2009. He was a member of this PIW ensemble for the '07 and
'08 seasons, and was section leader of the tenor line for his last year. Josh
acts as batterie instructor at Seminole High School in Seminole, Florida. He is
also involved with Tarpon Springs High School, where he teaches batterie
percussion for the indoor drumline, and during class periods throughout the
regular season. During the 2008 and 2009 season, he was also quad tech for
Spirit Drum and Bugle Corps. In 2005, at the age of 18, Josh was a charter
member of the staff for Alliance DCA, where he was also a batterie
technician.
Marching experience includes two years at Southwind Drum and Bugle Corps, and
two seasons of involvement at Spirit Drum and Bugle Corps. During his time at
Spirit, Josh was also attending Jacksonville State University. It was here that
he gained valuable instruction that led him to be section leader of not only the
marching band for his second season, but Spirit as well. Josh was a member of
the 2004 JSU PASIC drumline that finished 3rd in competition that year, and was
the youngest person on the quad line by at least 3 years.
Today, Josh is very actively involved with marching percussion on the
instructional level. He currently lives in Pinellas Park, Florida, where he
teaches classes, attends rehearsals, and gives private lessons to anyone and
everyone interested in advancing their knowledge of the activity, and the
quality of their performance.
