A native of Milwaukee Wisconsin, Joshua Reynolds began playing drums in church at the age of three alongside his father, a gospel organist. Reynolds attended Roosevelt School of The Arts during middle school where he learned to read music and was introduced to a new style of music, jazz. Throughout the high school years, Reynolds attended Columbia High School in Columbia, Mississippi where he was a member of both the jazz and marching bands. Reynolds went on to study Music Education and Vocal Performance at Pearl River Community College in Poplarville, Mississippi for two years.
Reynolds represented the state of Mississippi in the Guitar Center Drum-Off for three consecutive years beginning in 2013 by advancing to the regional finals in Nashville, Tennessee walking away as the second place winner overall each year. In 2012 Reynolds had the opportunity to participate in the BET Blaze the Stage competition with XpliZit (Party Rock Band); a band in which he founded while studying music in 2009. During the year 2010, Reynolds traveled several tour dates with National Gospel recording artist Kurt Carr. This experience exposed him to several opportunities to work with National Recording artists including Jonathan Nelson, Ashford Sanders, JJ Hairston, LeAndria Johnson, Karen Clark-Sheard, Dorinda Clark-Cole and many others.
Currently, Reynolds lives in Nashville, Tennessee with his wife and children where he is a studio session recording and live performance drummer. Since moving to Nashville in 2017, Reynolds has had the opportunity to tour and work with artists such as Louis York (writers & producers for artists such as Rihana, Bruno Mars, Britney Spears, India Arie and many others); and Noah Kahan (Republic Records). He has also worked with Grammy Award-winning artist Vasti Jackson. Presently Reynolds is the drummer for Morgan Myles (Nashville’s uprising Country Powerhouse), Michael B. Hicks (Rascal Flatts pianist) and Dynamo (jazz fusion band). He is an artist in the trio hip-hop/rock n roll band Stay Green (Hattiesburg, Mississippi), as well as jazz fusion band
Friends, Fly South (Hattiesburg, Mississippi). As of September he's actively touring with alternative rock band "Charming Liars"

Through his diversified style of play Reynolds energy, passion, and love of music shine through each time he hits the stage.
