Luke Shreve is a graduate of Jacksonville State University, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education. While attending JSU, he studied under Clint Gillespie and Dr. Tony McCutchen. He has performed with the JSU Percussion Ensemble, Chamber Winds, Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band and the JSU Marching Southerners.
Currently he serves as the front ensemble caption head at Chattanooga IndependentPercussion Ensemble based out of Chattanooga, Tennessee; where he has been teaching since the 2013 indoor season. Luke also currently works with the front ensemble at Bob Jones High School in Huntsville, Alabama. In the past he has provided instruction for the battery at Music City Drum and Bugle Corps from Nashville, Tennessee, during the 2013 season. He was also the front ensemble coordinator for JSU’s Marching Southerners. Luke has also worked with numerous high schools across Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee.
Luke is a charter member of Music City Drum and Bugle Corps where he marched snare for four years from 2009 to 2012. He has also performed with Chattanooga Independent Percussion Ensemble for the 2009 indoor season. While at JSU he performed with the Marching Southerners in both the battery and front ensemble.
