Mandy Quinn is a music educator based in Biloxi, MS. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Instrumental Music from the University of North Alabama and a Master of Arts degree in percussion performance and conducting from the University of Central Florida. Her teachers include Jeff Moore, Kirk Gay, Dr. Thad Anderson, Dr. Iain Moyer, Andy Smith, and German Baratto. Quinn is currently the Director of Percussion and Assistant Band Director for Biloxi Schools, where the scholastic concert world ensemble won Gold at the WGI South Regional in her first year.
Quinn has been responsible for teaching and/or arranging for many middle school and high school percussion ensembles throughout the Southeast, including the 2011 WGI Concert World gold medalist, Muscle Shoals High School. She has also served as the Front Ensemble Technician for the Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps, Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps, Gateway Percussion, Terminus Percussion, and Front Ensemble Caption Head for both Music City Drum and Bugle Corps and Infinity Percussion. She is also the former Assistant Director of Percussion for the University of North Alabama and Adjunct Professor of Percussion for East Mississippi Community College. Quinn has performed with many world-class ensembles such as The Cadets (2007 silver medalist), Carolina Crown, Capital Regiment, Gateway Percussion, and Aimachi from Nagoya, Japan.
