Nashville Studio and Opry House Drummer
Mark Beckett was born just a stone throw away from R&B mecca Muscle Shoals Alabama. Being the son of legendary keyboardist Barry Beckett, music was always being in the house. At the age of 14, Mark decided to pick up some drum sticks after hearing the great Eddie Bayers on a recording. From the moment he graduated high school he did everything possible to be a recording musician. While skipping school Mark would watch and learn from his father and Eddie almost on a daily basis by visiting sessions and being a fly on the wall. When he wasn't at the studio, he was playing to the cassettes his dad would bring home from the days work.
A year and half later his first snare drum hit, Mark did his first recording session and the rest is history. He has never wanting to do anything else but be a session drummer and he has done just that. Having a 19 year career in the music business, Mark has played with the "Who's Who" of talent and has become one of the more "In Demand" drummers in Nashville.
