Mike Hill

Mike Hill is a percussion performer, educator, and arranger from Tulsa, Oklahoma. Mike is  currently the percussion director at Collinsville High School in Collinsville, Oklahoma. There he teaches young percussionists and musicians ranging from 6th-12th grade to develop both music and life skills. Along with his roles as a high school percussion director, Mike is also currently  he battery captionhead at Zephyrus Drum and Bugle Corps since 2022, and battery tech for Resistance Indoor Percussion since 2023. Along with his teaching roles in the state of Oklahoma, Mike has also composed and arranged music for high school and collegiate level marching band shows since 2020. 

Prior to these teaching experiences, Mike graduated from Union High School in 2018. At Union, Mike participated in several of their music programs including their competitive marching band, indoor percussion program, wind ensemble, and jazz band. After his time at Union, Mike attended the University of Central Oklahoma where he received his bachelor’s degree in instrumental music education in 2023. During his time at UCO, Mike was involved in the university’s music programs including the top wind symphony, orchestra, percussion ensemble,  marching band, jazz band, and pit orchestra for musical theatre. Along with these performance opportunities through the university, Mike was also a performer for the Oklahoma City Thunder Drumline for the 2018-2019 NBA season and the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps as a snare drummer for 2020 and 2021. During his time at the Cavaliers, Mike also performed for the PASIC 2020 virtual clinic where they performed music from past years of the Cavaliers organization.
