Nathan Gargus is the director of percussion for the Waynesville R - VI School District in Waynesville, Missouri. Before coming to Waynesville, he spent four years teaching at the Cole County R - 1 School District in Russellville, Missouri, overseeing the entire instrumental music program, grades 6 - 12. During his tenure, the program saw immense growth and high student achievement at all levels.

In 2014, Nathan graduated from the University Of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Missouri with a Bachelor Of Music Education (Instrumental) degree. It was there that he studied under former Percussive Arts Society Drum Set Committee Chair Dr. Michael Sekelsky. While a student in Warrensburg, he was fortunate to teach multiple drumlines, private lessons, and percussion ensembles throughout Missouri, working with as many as eight school districts concurrently.

Nathan is a proud alumnus of both Freedom Indoor Percussion and Legacy Indoor Percussion, and is also a proud educational artist with Innovative Percussion, Inc.
