Nick Zamora is a Houston, TX-based drummer who currently records and performs with his Gulf Coast Soul band, The Suffers. He began playing drums at the age of twelve and was performing on stages in Houston with punk and ska bands within a year. Having recorded and performed with a variety of bands through the years, his career is reaching new heights with The Suffers. 

Since forming in 2011, The Suffers has grown from performing reggae and rocksteady covers in Houston clubs to a whirlwind 2015 that saw Zamora and The Suffers make their network television debut on Late Night with David Letterman weeks before his final show, tape an NPR Tiny Desk concert, and perform over 150 shows at clubs and festivals in the US and Canada including Newport Folk Fest, Austin City Limits Festival, Hangout Festival, Pemberton, Free Press Summer Festival, Loufest, and many more. 

The Suffers’ self titled debut full-length album has been featured and made top 10 lists from the likes of Billboard, NPR All Songs Considered and First Listen prior to its February 2016 release. With multiple network and cable TV appearances scheduled as well as tours and festival appearances scheduled across North America, Zamora and The Suffers are poised for another breakout year.
