Patrick Rheingruber is currently the Percussion Coordinator for the Effingham Marching Hearts in Effingham IL, as well as Percussion Technician for Downers Grove South High School in Downers Grove, IL.  He has been involved in marching activities since 2003, including performing as a member of the Eastern Illinois University Panther Marching Band Drumline, and Indianapolis Independent Percussion Ensemble (I-2), a WGI World Championship Finalist.  

Patrick is a Graduate of Eastern Illinois University receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education and Master’s in Percussion Performance.  While there was given the opportunity to perform in a number of ensembles including the Eastern Symphonic Orchestra (Principal Percussionist ’08-’11), the Eastern Illinois University Wind Symphony (Principal Percussionist ’08-’11), and being a featured soloist with the Eastern Illinois University Percussion Ensemble.  Patrick was also been the eastern Illinois Panther Drumline Instructor for their 2009 and 2010 seasons.

Since 2004 Patrick has been the Percussion Coordinator for the Effingham High School Marching Hearts in Effingham IL, as well as a drum technician for local area Marching Band programs, including Newton Community High School, and Downers Grove South High School.  Patrick Currently resides in Downers Grove, IL where he arranges, and writes for numerous ensembles, and teaches percussion at Effingham High School, and Downers Grove South High School.
