Randy Sifuentes began his musical career in 2002 in his hometown Edinburg, Tx. With a strong introduction into music he eventually began his studies under Eduardo Trevino at Economedes High School. Many of Sifuentes's instructional strategies stem from Trevino pushing all his students to always raise their own personal bar of achievement.

Because of Trevino's guidance, Sifuentes began his performing career early by performing with Revolution Drum & Bugle Corps in 2008. At Revolution, Sifuentes studied under Rachel Sitka, Peter Hilborn, Maverick Peterson, and Carlos Botello. While at Revolution, he competed in the open class I&E competition earning 2nd place on marimba. After learning a wealth of knowledge for three seasons with Revolution he went on to perform with the Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps for his last two seasons.

From 2016 to 2018, Sifuentes was an assistant band director for Sharyland North Junior High and percussion consultant for Sharyland Pioneer High School in Mission, TX. While at Sharyland, his students were successful on all accounts of percussion ranging from concert, marching, jazz, and world studies. His percussion ensemble earned the state championship title from the TECA circuit in 2018. Sifuentes has been conducting percussion clinician tours around the U.S. since 2014. He teaches privately to ages 5¬-18, performs at percussion festivals, judges solo and marching competitions, and arranges for marching bands around the country. He has taught battery and front ensemble to various middle schools, high schools, universities, drum corps, and was the front ensemble coordinator for Genesis Drum & Bugle Corps in 2013. He is currently endorsed with Innovative Percussion and Mapex/Majestic.

His awards include first place at the 2012 PAS International Marching Marimba Competition, the Avedis Zildjian Award from the Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps, and earning High Percussion with the Cavaliers in 2011. While earning his degree in Music Education at Middle Tennessee State University he earned the Outstanding Achievement in Percussion Award and the Outstanding Pre¬Service Teacher Award. He has studied under Lalo Davila, Julie Davila, Brian Zator, and marimba virtuoso, Keiko Abe.

Sifuentes currently resides in Edinburg, TX as he teaches at his alma mater, Economedes High School.
