Richard Adams is a graduate of the University of Montevallo earning his Bachelor of Arts in Music in 2005 and his Master of Education degree in 2008. He is currently the Assistant Band Director and Percussion Director at Spain Park High School in Hoover, AL. Previously he taught at Oak Grove High School in Bessemer, AL from 2008-2019. Units under his direction have been consistent Winter Guard International Regional Finalists, Southeastern Color Guard Circuit Medalists, as well as Bands of America Class A Regional Champions.

Richard is a member of NAfME, Percussive Arts Society, and he is a proud endorser of Innovative Percussion sticks and mallets.
