Ryan Blihovde is a Drummer, Percussionist, Foley Artist, Composer, and coffee enthusiast from Chicago. Based in New York City now, Ryan is the Percussionist and Foley artist on the First National tour of Broadway’s award winning hit musical SpongeBob SquarePants. Previously, Ryan played Drums and Percussion for the King and I National tour based on the 2015 Tony Award winning Lincoln Center production. Ryan also played the Sound of Music National Tour directed by Jack O’Brien and has performed with Broadway’s Annaleigh Ashford, Leslie Kritzer, and Paul Canaan to name few. Ryan studied commercial percussion and music technology at Belmont University in Nashville, TN under Chester Thompson, Chris Norton, and Todd London. Aside from playing in musical theatre pit orchestras, when Ryan is not on tour he performs, writes, and arranges music for solo and chamber percussion.
