Scott Fairdosi is currently the Assistant Band Director/Percussion Coordinator for Marshall High School and Missouri City Middle School in west Houston. He conducts beginner percussion classes, middle school percussion ensembles, and high school drumline and percussion ensembles. When he is not teaching, Mr. Fairdosi performs with local orchestral ensembles in the Greater Houston Area. Over the years he has conducted drumline clinics and masterclasses in various parts of Texas. Scott Fairdosi has been both a soloist and an ensemble member for the following organizations: Indiana University Wind Ensemble, Indiana University Philharmonic Orchestra, National Repertory Orchestra, Plainview Orchestra, Midland Symphony, and the Blue Knights Drum & Bugle Corps. He has also performed with the Texas Tech Percussion Ensemble in many venues, including the International Society for Music Educators Convention in Beijing, China.
Mr. Fairdosi graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Texas Tech University in 2012. Upon graduation, he moved to Bloomington, IN, where he complete a Master of Music in Percussion Performance degree from Indiana University and was presented with the Artistic Excellence Fellowship Award. During his time in Indiana, he studied with Steve Houghton, Kevin Bobo, Michael Spiro, John Tafoya, and Braham Dembar. Following his studies at Indiana University, he moved back to his hometown of Houston, TX, where he both teaches and plays for various local orchestras. Scott Fairdosi is an Innovative Percussion Artist Educator. He currently lives in Houston with his wife, Tiffany Fairdosi.
