Shealley Gumiran is a front ensemble educator from the Northern California area, a native to the area where she developed her percussion skills in high school. Since then she has dedicated herself to the percussive arts for 16 years. Shealley has been a clinician and front ensemble technician for schools such as Folsom, Stagg, East Union, Elk Grove, Fairfield, as well as the Sacramento State Marching Band.  In addition, she has arranged for such high schools as Armijo, Stagg, East Union, Reno, Folsom, Elk Grove, Fairfield, and the Sacramento State Winter Percussion Ensemble.

Shealley was also involved in the WGI and DCI community as a marching member. She was a member of the Seattle Cascades in 2000, (Div III Champions) 2001(Div II Silver medalists & High Percussion), and 2002 (Div I top 12 finalists).  During that time, the corps rose from Division III champions to Division I finalists.  Shealley received the Rod Stubbs award in 2001 for exemplary performance as a Cascade both on and off the field.  She was also a member of the Sacramento Freelancers Front Ensemble from 2000-2002, in which the group scored 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, at the WGI World Championships in PIW.

As a non-marching member Shealley has been involved with the teaching the Cascades Drum and Bugle Corps as a front ensemble technician since 2007. Every year, she embarks on a national tour with the corps, who competes at the DCI World Championships in Indianapolis as a World Class Drum Corps. Shealley is proud to help keep the drum corps activity alive and well in the Northwest.

Shealley currently teaches Fairfield High School, where she is now caption head, front ensemble tech, and front ensemble arranger.  She is also the percussion director, front ensemble tech, and arranger for the Elk Grove High School percussion ensemble.  In 2013, Elk Grove High School won the NCBA Scholastic Division. In 2015, Fairfield High School won both the NCBA Open division and Concert division. 2015 was the inaugural season of the Fairfield Concert Percussion. Shealley also joined the staff of the eNVision Performing Arts Ensemble in 2014. The ensemble placed 5th as a finalist at the WGI World Championships in PIA. In 2015, eNVision moved up a division and now competes in the Percussion Independent Open Class. Shealley is happy to announce she will be with American Canyon High School for the 2015 fall season.

As for WGI and DCI she is the front ensemble technician for eNVision performing arts and will be going to WGI championships with them in 2016. She is also teaching camps for the Seattle Cascades drum and bugle corps to get them ready for DCI's summer of 2016 tour. Currently she is and arranger for Gary P. Gilroy publications which recently sent out 10,500 cd's across the nation with one of the best selling winter arrangements with Aaron Hines.

In addition, she gives private lessons, helping her students get accepted into Drum Corps and collegiate music programs.
Shealley is a proud educator of the performing arts as she is committed to the growth of young musicians and performers.
