Takahiro Iimori
Aimachi
Since 1989, Takahiro Iimori has been the front ensemble coordinator for the Aimachi Band from Nagoya, Japan. In 2016, he was a gold medalist at WGI with Aimachi winds and in 1996 the 10 Time Prime Minister Award winner from Nagoya, Japan. The Aimachi Band, Indoor Drumline and Winds have received world wide recognition and have won many prestigious awards. Aside from his responsibilities with Aimachi, Takahiro teaches many bands through out Japan having received gold medals at All Japan Marching Band National Marching Championships in Tokyo, Japan. Takahiro Started his music career with the Aimachi Band in 1989. He received a Bachelor Degree in Music from Nagoya University of Arts and studied Marimba and Percussion under Ms. Mariko Ishida, Hideyuki Miyake and Kazuhiko Shirakawa.
Mr. Iimori was a member of the 2001 World Champions, The Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps and worked with percussion specialists Bret Kuhn and Erik Johnson. He received 3rd place at the DCI individual and ensemble competition in the Mallet keyboard Division. In the fall of 2001 Takahiro performed at Percussive Arts Society’s International Convention (PASIC) as a member of the 2001 Cavalier Front Ensemble.
