In 2016, after only two years at Dueitt MS, her hard-working and dedicated
students, the Dueitt Middle School Percussion Ensemble was named a National
Winner in the inaugural Mark of Excellence National Percussion Honors
competition. This earned an invitation to perform at the esteemed Music For All
Sandy Feldstein Percussion Festival in Indianapolis in 2017.
She is an active member of TMEA, PAS, Let Them
Drum, and the Houston Blues Society.
