Taylor Ransom currently serves as Percussion Instructor and Program Coordinator for Flowery Branch High School in Hall County, GA, where he has taught since 2012. He is also the Batterie Coordinator for WGI Independent World Class group Equinox Percussion, based out of Athens, GA. When he is not writing or teaching music, Taylor gigs and records with various groups in Georgia.

Taylor taught with Palmetto Percussion as a bass tech (2014-2015), and as Batterie Caption Head (2016). He also taught with the Boston Crusaders Drum & Bugle Corps, serving as a visual tech (2014) and bass tech (2015-2016). In the scholastic field, Taylor has taught at Flowery Branch High School, North Oconee High School, Franklin County High School, Lakeside High School, Mill Creek High School, and the University of Georgia drumline. As a marching member, he played timpani, snare drum, tenors, and bass drum at groups such as Odyssey Percussion Theatre (PIW, 2008-2010), The University of Georgia Drumline (2009-2013), Terminus Atlanta Percussion (PIW, 2011), Spirit of Atlanta (2011-2012), and Music City Mystique (PIW, 2013). Taylor is a member of the University of Georgia class of 2014, earning a bachelor's degree in music composition and a music business certificate. Taylor studied percussion under Mr. Timothy K. Adams, Jr., composition under Dr. Adrian Childs, and music business under Mr. David Barbe.
