Tim Pence is currently the Asst. Director of Bands & Director of Percussion with Marietta High School (OH).  Tim's day-to-day responsibilities include the musical and technical instruction for the fall marching percussion program and, in addition, he is the visual designer for their indoor program.  Prior to his new partnership with Marietta, Tim was the long-time Percussion Director with Ridgewood High School (OH); a position he held since 1996.  During that time, he and his students developed their proven approach which resulted in a continuous string of Superior ratings, as well as countless Best in Class and Grand Champion awards.  In 2003, Tim co-founded Elements Indoor Performance Ensemble from Zanesville, Ohio.  He served both on the Board of Directors and as Percussion Caption Head until his departure in 2009.  During his tenure, Elements was the Mid East Performance Association State Champion in their respected class for 5 years straight.  In 2005, Elements was the Winter Guard International Percussion “Independent A” World Champions.

Tim currently resides in West Lafayette, OH where he is active in the community with performance and education.  He is the percussionist with Hi-Fi Rendezvous, a jazz ensemble that plays 1930s and 1940s jazz standards.  Tim also teaches privately at the Kids America sports complex located in Coshocton, OH and has had students at every level with students ranging from 6 years to 52 years of age.

Tim is a member of the Percussive Arts Society (PAS) and served on the Marching Percussion Committee for the 2005 Percussive Arts Society International Convention.  He is endorsed by Innovative Percussion, Dynasty USA, EVANS Drumheads, and HQ Products.  Tim is very proud and humbled by the success and friendships that he has made along through his career but above all, he is a proud father to his 6 year old daughter, Graisyn.
